What to Expect
Over the three units, you will learn how to recognise and define challenging behaviour, understand its causes, and describe it clearly and objectively. The course explains how to identify internal factors and external factors and why reinforcement matters in shaping behaviour.
You will be introduced to the ABC model as a practical tool for analysing behaviour, along with recording methods and analysis techniques to inform your approach. Proactive and Reactive strategies for managing behaviour are discussed, focusing on values like respect, dignity, and collaboration. You will learn how to contribute to and support Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practices as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
The Multiple Choice Questions quiz (MCQ) must be completed to achieve the certificate of completion. You can have several attempts and up to six weeks to pass the MCQ.
