What to Expect
This course consists of three units, with a Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) quiz at the end.
You will see the demonstration video in the player at the start, which will explain how to work through the content. Each unit is designed with you, the learner, in mind. There are various activities built in to assist you with learning, engagement, and retention.
Objectives are listed at the start of each course unit and again during the course summary.
The quiz must be completed with a pass mark of 80% to achieve the certificate of completion. You can have several attempts and up to six weeks to do so.
There are three chapters or units:
Unit 1: Setting the scene, exploring what ID means, causes, support needs, and approaches to service delivery
Unit 2: Evolution of disability services, society's responses to disability, and the role of language and attitudes
Unit 3: Implementing a quality service – everyone is responsible.
We estimate 10 hours of reading and exploration of resources.
